LTC classes for active duty, guard and reserve military

Being career military myself I understand the financial hardships and burden military families endure. If you are currently an active duty, guard or reserve military member, your Texas License to Carry class is FREE at Fortis Defense. Your state fees are also free through the state of Texas.

State military

You are however still responsible for paying your state licensing fee of $25 to the state of Texas and your fingerprinting fees. 

When you register for class please ensue you note your branch of service and have your military ID with you for class in order to verify your service/status.

Retired military & honorably discharged wounded warriors/disabled veterans (with ID)    

First off, thank you for dedication to serving our country. As career military, I understand the hardships your military service placed upon you and your family, my hat is off to you and your service so again, thank you.

If you are retired military, your class fee is $50.

When you register for class please ensue you note your branch of service and have your retired military ID with you for class in order to verify your service/status.

You are however still responsible for paying your state licensing fee of $25 to the state of Texas and your fingerprinting fees. 

Veterans (without ID)

Thank you for your service and dedication to our country.

If you are a veteran of the armed services, your LTC class at Fortis Defense is $65.  When you register for class please ensue you note your branch of service and have a copy of your DD Form 214 with you for class in order to verify your service/status.

You are however still responsible for paying your state licensing fee of $25 to the state of Texas and your fingerprinting fees. 

Active/Honorably Retired Law Enforcement

First off, thank you for serving our communities. In times like these I sympathize with you on the trials and scrutiny you and your family face each day and we stand by you.

If you are an active/retired member of law enforcement, your LTC class at Fortis Defense is $65.  When you register for class please ensue you note your city, county or state of service and have a copy of your credentials with you for class in order to verify your service/status.

You are however still responsible for paying your state licensing fee of $25 to the state of Texas and your fingerprinting fees.
